Direct Care of Orphans & Vulnerable Children

Community of Hope Care Center takes care of HIV infected and affected orphans and vulnerable children. In our community we have an entire generation of youngsters orphaned two or three times as their parents die to be replaced by grandparents, aunts, uncles and other relatives who also fall victim to the disease.

Our aim is to provide for the intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social needs of children and youth who have become victims of neglect, abuse, poverty, hunger, culture, war and corrupt political systems.  Our primary goal is to provide security, food, shelter, clothing, health care, education and skills training for HIV/AIDS infected and affected orphans and vulnerable children in extremely difficult socio-economic situations with the aim of rescuing children, restoring hope, empowering and transforming their lives. We struggle to free vulnerable children from suffering, exploitation and abuse and provide them with the support and opportunities they need to reclaim their lives

The program started out of necessity because we had to rescue some neglected and abused HIV positive children. Others are victims of sexual abuse and negligence. These children had no chance to attend school, receive adequate healthcare or eat nutritious meals.
